Recent Developments
The Communiqué Amending the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles Regarding Fees That May Be Charged by Banks to Corporate Clients (No. 2020/4) (Communiqué No. 2026/5) was published in the Official Gazette dated January 31, 2026 and numbered 33154.

What Do the Changes Introduce?

  • Before the change, cash loans’ utilization fee was capped at 1.10%. You can refer to our bulletin regarding the original framework here.
  • The 1.10% cap is now confined to Turkish lira cash loans.
  • The changes entered into force as of February 1, 2026.

Conclusion
Foreign currency loans’ utilization fees will no longer be limited.
