The long-awaited regulation on the extension of the financial restructuring (“Restructuring”) has been enacted through the Presidential Decree No. 10765 (the “Presidential Decree”), published in the Official Gazette dated 25 December 2025 and numbered 33118.
What does the Presidential Decree Mean?
According to the Presidential Decree, the Restructuring provisions stipulated in the Provisional Article 32 of the Banking Law No. 5411 will continue to be applied for two more years as of 28 December 2025.
Conclusion
Thanks to the Presidential Decree, for at least two more years, companies will be able to restructure their financial indebtedness owed to banks and other financial institutions in a faster and more practical manner through framework agreements.
