Recent Development

Within the scope of governmental measures taken due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Presidential Decision No. 2811 extended the employment termination prohibition and unpaid leave until September 17, 2020.

Subsequently, the termination prohibition and unpaid leave have been extended once again for an additional two months, with the Presidential Decision No. 2930, which was published in the Official Gazette No. 31234 dated September 4, 2020.

What Does the Presidential Decision Say?

The prohibition of employment termination and employers’ option to send their employees on unpaid leave during such period has been extended until November 17, 2020.
