About Dr. Erdal Ekinci
Dr. Erdal Ekinci is the Head of the Tax Practice at Esin Attorney Partnership. With more than 30 years of experience, he is recognized as one of Türkiye’s leading tax advisors and lawyers, advising multinational and local clients on a broad range of tax advisory and controversy matters, including international taxation, transfer pricing, corporate restructurings, financial taxation and complex tax disputes.
Erdal graduated from Boğaziçi University Department of Business Administration in 1997 and began his career at Arthur Andersen. While continuing his professional life, Erdal completed his Executive MBA at Sabancı University and had his PhD from İstanbul Bilgi University. He later obtained his law degree from Istanbul Kültür University, bringing together a unique combination of legal, tax and business expertise.
Since joining Esin Attorney Partnership in 2014, Erdal has played a key role in the establishment and development of our tax department, as well as the overall growth of our Office. Under his leadership, our tax team has become one of the most respected tax practices in Turkey, advising the world’s leading multinational companies and consistently being recognized by international rating agencies.
Erdal’s expertise and leadership have been widely recognized by leading international publications. He is ranked as a “Leading Partner” by Legal 500 and recognized as “Highly Regarded” by International Tax Review. Beyond his client work, Erdal has remained actively involved in academia and professional development initiatives, lecturing at universities, speaking at industry conferences and mentoring younger generations of lawyers and tax professionals. He has also contributed significantly to our Office’s collaborative culture and long-term development through his commitment to talent development and knowledge sharing.
